Amy is the first Member of the Provincial Parliament to represent the riding of Kitchener South – Hespeler.
Amy has held several roles in Government, including serving as Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Children, Community & Social Services with a specific focus on Children, Autism, and Women’s issues. She has also served as the Deputy Government House Leader.
She previously served as an elected School Board Trustee before stepping down to run for the Legislative Assembly of Ontario. In her former role, Amy was a passionate advocate for students with special needs and increased the board’s communication and inclusivity in the community.
Amy is also the former Board Chair for Bridges To Belonging Waterloo Region, an organization supporting people with disabilities by providing person-directed planning which helps them plan the life they want in our community.
Amy was born and raised in Ontario. She is a mom to four school-Aged children, including two on the autism spectrum. She is a proud resident of Pioneer Park and enjoys walking along the Speed River near Black Bridge Road in Hespeler and walking at least one of her black Labs at Huron Nature Area in Kitchener South.
